T Family (Family Photographer Seattle, WA)

Just another glorious sun filled family session on the beaches of Seattle!

Two things have happened to me as a photographer in the last few weeks.  The first of which was this session.  I've always been such a stickler for the rules when it comes to photography.  In the past, I would discard any images that had limb chops, didn't follow the rule of thirds, had blown highlights, etc.  That's what I thought a real photographer would do.  But this session was one of the first when I felt like I let go and just breathed.  And guess what?  I absolutely love it.  The whole session is so "me".  As I edited each image, I felt so immensely happy.  I even posted to my 365 group that I felt like I had found my stride with this session.  The next thing that happened was the amazing and inspiring Click Away conference.  Time and time again I heard from all these well respected photographers, photographers whom I have been following and admiring, that it's okay to break some rules.  It's okay to photograph in a way that speaks to you, even if it goes against the grain.  It hit home. I felt like I was given permission to just be me.  I can't wait to move forward with this new confidence. Anyway, enough about me.  Let's talk about this family! I first met with this family through a friend of mine and I was thrilled when they contacted me for a session.  Their little boy is absolutely adorable and was just starting to get steady walking.  He was so proud to show off his new skills.  I love all the walking images we were able to get.  He even gave it a go on the sand.  This family is like a model family...I told them I would mainly be photographing them interacting with each other, so that's what they did and they did so perfectly.  Their images are full of love and happiness.  The love they have for each other is so evident.  Thank you T Family for allowing me to capture these memories for you. I hope you love them as much as I do.
