How Long Does a Newborn Session Take?

As a lifestyle newborn photographer, I'm often asked, "How long will our session take?" The answer is, it depends!

Session Length

A typical newborn session can take anywhere from 45 minutes to an hour and a half. However, I always recommend allowing up to two hours for the entire experience.

Why Sessions Can Vary in Length

Newborn sessions are all about flexibility, and there are many factors that can influence the length of our time together. These include:

- Feeding time: Whether it's breastfeeding, bottle-feeding, or just a snack for the older kids, we'll take the time needed to get baby fed and happy.

- Diaper changes: Let's face it, newborns can get messy! We'll take breaks for diaper changes as needed.

- Baby's mood: Sometimes, baby just needs a break. We'll take a few minutes to cuddle, rock, and soothe, and then get back to capturing those sweet moments.

Baby's Needs Come First

I want to reassure you that I will never rush you or your baby. Your baby's needs are my top priority, and we'll take as many breaks as needed to ensure everyone is comfortable and happy.

Relax, We'll Take Our Time

My goal is to create a relaxed, enjoyable experience for you and your new baby. We'll work at a pace that feels natural and comfortable for everyone, and I'll be there to guide you every step of the way.
